Has anyone used any of those new deck board removing tools I've seen advertised?

Can't remember where I've seen them either, just looked thru the lateset issues of Remodeling and F.H.Building magazines and didn't see them in there..

As a blacksmith, I have built several different styles of board removers in years past for customers who were salvaging lumber from old houses and barns. Some of them had rather ingenious designs and the all worked somewhat well, one fella was even working on patenting his design, but never got it patented before he passed on.

It depends on how the boards were attached (nailing procedure) and types of nails used, and whether the lumber was to be salvaged intact or not.

This is the first time I have seen the one that the url was posted for.
