Hello!

Look what followed me home last weekend (well, only after a grueling 16-hour drive).

It's a Delta 15-017 drill press, in beautiful original condition. Supposedly found in a basement workshop of the original owner, who probably only drilled a few holes with it when he bought it decades ago.

Cost was $350, probably a little high for this, but I think I got a better overall value compared to buying a new one made in China. Plus, you can't beat that good old American iron.

I'll take good care of her...

Eric, I think you got a great deal, they don't make 'em like that anymore! It looks like it is in excellent condition!

Eric,

Nice score. If it's the one I think it is, you're lucky I wasn't in a position to bid on it, because I would have gone quite a bit higher. Congratulations, I think you made a great deal.

Nice score. Is that a 60's machine? Does it have a 6" throw?

Alan:

The quill depth on this one is 4-1/2", and according to the OWWM site, the serial number says built in 1965.
