Finally got a little turning time in. It's 5 1/2" x 1 1/2" finished with Watco and then beal buffed.
I really like the way this turned out. The wood seems similar to Mahogany, but without the open pores. An added bonus, the blank very inexpensive:cool: .

Sorta looks like mahogany too. You did a nice job on it George. The finish is great looking.

I like it George. I never had a piece of this wood in my shop, but it looks so good. The finish is fitting for this piece.
