I have a chance to buy three mature white oak trees that are scheduled to be felled and I don't know what to offer the guys who are going to have them chopped into firewood. They look pretty straight to me, I'd say about 50-70 feet tall. Any Creek help would be (a) appreciated and (b) probably put to good use!

Standard lumber trees, .25 to .50 a board foot.
Veener logs, different story. 1.00 and up

See what price they get for a cord of firewood.
If one tree, which needs to be very large, will attain a cord, then maybe you could purchase for that price.
