I know this is a bit off topic as I am not going to build the door (I am going to build the shed it will be attached to thought!) but here it goes. I am planning on building a shed and am looking at using a standard slab door (I will need to chop 12-14" off so that is why I am going with a slab vs. pre hung). The question I have is I saw 6 panel solid core pine slab door at home depot but it is only 1 3/8" (I assume this is an interior door). There is also a solid core flat door that is birch and is 1 3/4". I know a standard exterior door is 1 3/4". Is the 1 3/8" pine door ok for a exterior shed door? It seems to me it would be plenty stable and I like the panel look much better. Any thoughts on this would be appreicated. Thanks!
