Does any one know of a place in Maryland that can cut, shorten, and reweld a couple of bandsaw blades for me?

I've made a bunch of phone calls and keep coming up blank.

Thanks,
M

In most any town of any size there is someone with a sharpening shop. A place where the local contractors and cabinet shops take their stuff to be sharpened. Most of those shops make up band saw blades from bulk stock.

They can reweld the blades for you.

If you have some silver solder and a propane torch, you can do the job yourself.

You can't do that in Maryland it's against the laws of nature.

Or possibly you can fine almost any small machine shop. They will have a blade welder either attached to a Do-All saw or a stand alone.

Look in Wood Workers Supply catalog or on line and get the bandsaw blade silver solder kit. It has everything you need except the butane torch to silver solder your own blades. Don't pay someone else to do what you can do inexpensively and you will have the kit for the next twenty years and still have materila to fix your blades.
