I made this for a going away gift for a lady my wife works with. As it turns out, the lady is not leaving, so It's now a gift for LOML.

Great looking box (and a great "save" on the project). Did you use an Incra to do the DDs or did you use a Jessem (or even another technique)?

Nice box, Guy. Your thread title says "Almost Finished", but is looks pretty done to me. I'd bet your wife's coworker will be wishing she'd gone ahead and left, just so she could own that nice piece.

I used the Incra for the double dovetail. I still need to put a coat or two of finish on the top

Guy,
Beautiful box! Show it to the lady who was supposed to be leaving and she'll change her mind again :D

Do me a favor and don't let MY wife see this. I don't think I could duplicate such a beautiful piece as you have created.

EXCELLENT JOB!

I keep coming back to look at this piece. Question how did you do the inlays in the dovetails ?

Thanks for all the compliments. This one was fun to make.

Don, the double dovetails are done with the Incra LS on the router table. The Incra comes swith instructions and templates for making all kinds of different dovetail and box joints, and variations of each. There is also a set of templates that come with it to make through dovetails using only the dovetial bit, but I haven't had time to try those yet.
