I am looking to purchase a couple of the P&N bowl goiuges and the Multi-Tip Scraper (http://www.leevalley.com/wood/page.aspx?c=2&cat=1,330,49233&p=46303) Item 35B0130 from Lee Valley. I think the scraperis a Sorby. Has anyone any experience with these tools and what can I expect as far as quality goes?

Thanks

"Made in England by Crown" - Not a bad thing.
I've never used one and have also wondered about them.
Hope you get some opinions.

I have the multi tip scraper and it is an "OK" tool. If you want a scraper for bowls you would be better served buying one of the big Sorby bowl scrapers like item "C" below.http://www.woodcraft.com/images/family/web408big.jpg

I'm a big fan of the P&N bowl gouges, 5/8 and 3/8 do well for me. I'm getting ready to buy a couple more so I can have different grinds on them, probably another 5/8 and a 1/2.

I don't know about the scrapers.

Edit: Wait a minute. I do know about the scraper. I know that you can make your own for a heck of a lot less than $67. Try about $10 if that much.
Also, I'd probably go with the style of scraper shown in Chris' post rather than the multi-tip. They seem to work better to me.

Parts:
1/2 or 5/8 drill Rod
HSS or M2 Steel bits
Tap
Hex bolt
