the new 1806b planer and a wood gloat

I just got an 1806b planer in the mail, and planed off a walnut slab. Pic is attached. It worked like a charm!

Now the wood gloat: Around here, they are tearing out claro black walnut orchard trees and replacing them with wine grapes (two of my favorite things). They are cutting these trunks up for firewood. I had about 300 slabs sawn up like this and I am working them up! Life is good!:D

That's a sweet-looking chunk of walnut. I'd love to find a haul like that around here, but it ain't likely.
