Once upon a while gazing at my growing scrap pile in the Kudzupatch (my studio/shop) my eyes feel upon a scrap piece of pecan, used for bowl gouge practice. Then I cast my eyes upon a piece of roughed out cedar full of carpenter bee holes and a thought came to mind!

I worked diligently for a couple of hours turning the useless scrap into a gift from a fair maiden. The one that donated her Pecan tree to be turned into piles of shavings and a few (hopefully) useful round objects.

The moral of the story? ...... well.......... See, there is no such thing as scraps!

Yeah, "scraps" is a temporary name for things we just haven't put together yet. ;)

Nice job. And it sounds like Bernie has a pile of "scraps" too ! :D

That's a great birdhouse man! And the cedar will keep the chicks mite free. We have had bird houses for a while and the chicks often suffer with mite infestations. I am currently looking for some good cedar logs to do the same thing with.
