Sorry to bug everyone again but...

I'm going to anyway. Usually they pay me for it but today is a freebee.

I have a 36" wide kitchen pantry. 3/4 inch birch/maple plywood side, top and bottom, face frame construction. I am going to use pull outs for storage. The pullouts will be hard and/or soft maple with 1/2 bottoms and I plan on using #100 full extension drawer slides, most likely accurides.

My quandry is how to attach the back of the slide. I am tossed between gluing fillers down both sides and having the slides in full contact (the best I am sure) and using metal rear hanging brackets. I can put a 1/2 or 3/4 back on and use brackets if they would be strong enough. All my kitchen drawers have brackets but I have concerns if they would hold the weight of a full drawer at full extension.

Thanks in advance

again

Joe

pantrys and have always just used a 2" wide (or height of the BB slide) filler strip and build it out just a hair past the faceframe. I usually use only two screws for full exts. but three if it's a big tray/drawer like yours....good luck.
