Jim, I can't help you with your problem, but I did notice that you are new here and I wanted to say welcome. This is a great forum, and, in my opinion, the best on the web, different than all others. Stick around and you will find out why I say that. I am sure someone here will be able to help you solve your problem. Regards, Bill

According to their web site parts can be ordered for these. Go to their web site:

http://www.lionmitertrimmer.com

Click on "SUPPORT" then "PARTS". It gives you the number to call.

Hope this helps.

Hmmm...

I thought (sadly) Lion was not in business any more. I have their trimmer with blades that need sharpening. Wonder if someone is around to do that?

I would like to buy a Lion trimmer,
I read the knockoffs aren't as good.
Anyone know if that is true??

or are they just Lion....

ha ha ha

seriously though.

Two points about these type of trimmers.
1) I have a knock off that seems to work well for the use it gets.
2) The down side to all of these trimmers is that they are designed for picture frame work and will not trim outside miters very well. On an outside miter you will be forced to place the shaped molding edge againest the fence which results in a difficult situation.

Or you can make a miter jig for your table saw.

I called two days ago about getting my Lion blades sharpened.

Got an answering machine and left a message with my phone number. No response back yet...

If you look at the picture of the Lee Valley version and the Lion side by side, you can't tell any difference between the two. Replacement blades for the LV cost 65.00 if you want to take a chance.

i also called and left a message about 3 weeks ago and have not gotten a reply---so now i have sent an e-mail and a left a phone message and have no response on either. if they are out of business i would think they would delete their answering machine message.
