Curt,
I heartily endorse the use of that cordless power system. Since I began using it in my shop, I have had to neither shave nor brush my teeth.

Nikola Tesla did that more than 100 yrs. ago. This father of the A.C. motor invented all kinds of stuff that to this day have not been duplicated. He was friends with Mark Twain and Einstine, I believe. Must have been quite the stimulating conversation. His biography is quite the interesting read.

Which was prompted by Per's pouchless toolbelt :D

And of course the hook, line and sinker thread that several people fell for :p

Nonetheless, when I first saw the wireless extension cord on ThinkGeek, it took me a minute or so to figure out the date coincidence. I was already thinking of ways I could use it. :o

As the years go by and the human parts start breaking down, things with power cords look better and better all the time. I just sold my hand crank drill press, hand saws, draw knife and brace bits, etc. haven't been used in years. Neither has my cross-cut timber saw. It's gas or electric power these days and less muscle power. Pity, there was a calm and beauty in using the hand tools.

Around 1985 (I think) I bought a portable computer (Still had to be plugged into 110) at a warehouse sale-- had a 3 1/2 floppy, wireless keyboard, wireless mouse, voice command with a LQ screen. Everything way ahaead of it time! Called Apricot! ( I am not making this up!) I assume it was using a lot of other company's patients and had to be disposed of. I have never seen them again. :)
