Hi All,

I have a GCC Explorer 50 watt machine.
I am having problems sending files from my computer to the engraver.
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing all the drivers one by but to no avail (V3.48 V3.51 V3.53).
When I send the file,my computer printer icon tells me that it has been sent. The file name and number goes through to the engraver but all the parameteres (Speed and power) stay at the default 50,50. When I hit the start button, the display starts to flash and says "PCL Command 0 error" and certain numbers show up as the address and error. The machine does not start.
If i try this maybe 25 times, the file does go through once and the machine functions alright but the next time i am back to square one.

i am stuck as all the tech support is closed for the day and i have to complete a job.

i would appreciate help from all Explorer owners.

Hi Abdul;
Try reinstalling your firmware. Good Luck

Could be a cable problem particularly if it's a parallel cable.
Try disconnecting and reconnecting at both ends.
Try changing the cable.
