Mark, well done, with some beautiful joinery!!! I'm thinking you've got some significant mileage in a WW shop...It shows! :) And, congrats on the upcoming arrival. We WILL be expecting pics of both, the completed cradle w/finish, as well as its new owner!!! :)

Nice cradle! A cradle was one of my first projects and one that I hope will last for generations. It looks like yours certainly will.

Nice looking cradle Mark, I really like how you attached the stretcher with a sliding dovetail.

Thanks guys

Dave Duke - One of the goals when I was designing this project was to have it all assemble and dissasseble with only wood joinery no screws no bolts etc. The sliding dovetail worked out wonderfully and the cradle is solid as rock.

Mark, nice looking cradle, very solid looking. Are you going to install a locking pin?

Concrats on your first child!

Yea definately will be adding a locking pin as per the law here in Canada. Thanks for the reminder though it did kinda slip my mind

Bruce Shiverdecker - It will probably pain you even more to knwo that it will be stained a medium coffee brown. I done some other maple pieces stained the same color and have been quite happy with the results and more importantly the LOML is really into dark brown pieces now and shes sewn a quilt to go with it.
