Good afternoon,

I recently completed a sleighbed for LOML and myself. The Pennsylvannia cherry moved to 3 different locations while we made our move to a new house. The project is the longest it has taken me to build anything since some other home project always took precedent.

The first shot is in the shop.

The next picture is the bed in our room...

Finally, a closeup of the leg...

I took ideas from the internet and from the bed made by Chris Becksvoort.

Finish is Watco Danish Oil and Superblonde Shellac.

After all the traveling the Cherry did, it finally settled quite nicely! Very good looking bed, Paul. The only critique I have is, I'm not sure I really care for the location of the bed. I know of a certain bedroom, not too far from Spring Green, WI, where it would look really good! Awww heck, it'd look good in *any* bedroom!

Great job Paul. I really like the carved detail. Bet your wife is extremely proud of the bed and you.

That is one awesome bed, Paul. Great job...and my favorite wood species, too!

It may have taken a while and the cherry may have a few miles on it, but it was well worth it. The bed came out super! Thanks for sharing.

Very Nice,

I keep telling my wife that if I could just find the time to spend more time in the shop, I could build us something like that.

She doesn't believe me and I'm not that sure either.
