Just finished this Sterling Silver Baron. It's ebony with a dyed orange maple veneer. The inlay doesn't go all the way around the pen. It's three different length lines.

Raymond that is a beautiful looking pen. I like the veneer. I have been thinking of using veneer like that when I do like a walnut bowl. I think that would look nice. Great work Raymond.

Very nice Raymond! Great looking pen and I think the silver kit looks great with your choice of wood and treatment.

Raymond,
That is a handsome and elegant pen. I'm at a bit of a loss on what you mean by "different lengths" though. Are you saying that you cut different depths of saw cuts in the blank and inserted the veneer edgewise?

You got one classy looking pen there, Raymond!

That's exactly what I did John. Endgrain of the veneer is facing the outside of the pen so that you get some chatoyance across the inlay.

Well David, I don't consider it a stick either so I'm not going to go poking anyone with it, so it doesn't need to be pointy.

Raymond that's a gret looking pen. What is that in the background, some sort of inkwell/ holder?

It's just a scrap block that I had practiced some eccentric turning on.
