One of those Amazon discount things that lured me to buy.

Random thoughts.

* I like the fit and finish on Jet products, for Taiwan it's nice.

* The cabinet and sander portion don't fit together.
Examining web pictures, the unit I got is slightly different in the base and the holes don't line up, off
by at least one inch. No big deal, time to drill new holes
to mount it.

* The disc is wobbly when you spin it, at least 1/8" or
more that it's off. How much margin of error do you tolerate
for disc sanding ?

* I called Jet and they are shipping me a new disc
with no headaches and no RMA of bad parts. /sweet

* With that kind of customer service, why can't I
claim other parts went bad and build a second free
sander... j/k :p

* Someone on the Amazon site reviewed this unit
and complained that they couldn't do edge sanding
with the belt because the guard is in the way, so he
returned it for a different brand. Thinking out loud,
why can't you just cut that piece of metal extension,
it's thin metal

Congrats on the new sander. Looks like it'll be a good one. I could sure put a machine like that to use sometimes.

I couldn't help but notice (and chuckle about) these statements:

...
* I like the fit and finish on Jet products, for Taiwan it's nice.

* The cabinet and sander portion don't fit together...

Sounds like Jet CS has you covered pretty well, though.
