Monday evening I had 2 visitors from the Great White North. The good folks from Oneway (George and Louie.....with the former being Kimberly's hubbie) personally delivered my spankin' new 2436! I'm still unpacking all the goodies. This "bad boy" has a stainless steel bed....3hp.....outboard turning attachment.....remote start/stop.......vacuum system and just about every other option......Needless to say, my wallet is screamin'!!!!!!

I have to tell ya .....I am so impressed with this machine. As an artist, I always felt that attention to the details always seperated great art from average art. Oneway paid attention to the most minute of the details here. This machine is functional sculpture! WHAT A BEAST!

Congrats on the new tool! Enjoy it...it's a machine that will last several life-times! Personally, I think your first project should be a miniature just for the irony...remember, you can turn small things on big lathes, but not big things on small lathes. :D

I do indeed believe it. Because it's true.

One of these days, 'ol Doc Barton and I will cross paths and when I'm done with him there will one more White Knight of the Round Table.
