My son JP, 11 years old, has been showing a lot of interest in the lathe. The other day he tried his hand at it. He turned a cylinder and we called it a bonker.

Today he turned a pen. I helped a little with shaping and sanding, but he did the majority of the work. It's walnut and up close it is really nice. I don't know how to get good close ups yet with the digital camera.

Regards,
Tim B.
