Delta Grinder Problem - Follow up

Okay, I've really screwed up the threads on one sided of my grinder. I'm hoping I can use a die on them and restore them enough that a nut will hold. That may or may not work. I need to find a source for a 1/2" course left hand thread die. I've searched the box stores, hardware and automotive parts stores in my area to no avail. Any suggestions?

If this doesn't work I'll have to re-thread it to 7/16". That ought to be fun. This ought to teach me to read the manual better.

Richard.........look in the yellow pages for a bearing company or a machine shop or a large industrial screw/bolt/hardware company. Locally here I have a bearing company and an industrial hardware/screw company that would have it in stock or could order one. Good luck!
