This is a spalted hackerry bowl I never got to finish that was started 10 + years ago. Just took some minor work to finish it up. I love the shape. This is probably my favorite shape. I like bowls that the lip turns back in.

I may have posted photos before but I don't think so? Is so just overlook me. ;)

That one is spalted in all the right places. I have never turned hackberry. Is it very hard?

It's soft. Very to turn too. But I had a lot of tearout on the inside, if you look close you can see it. I have a bowl gouge now and I am hoping that will help on the next soft stuff I turn.

That's a nice looking bowl. I've heard that bowl shape referred to as a "Calabash" which I've always thought had a good sound to it. That hackberry is something new to me too.

Jeff that is a nice looking bowl. I like the form also. Nice fit and finish.
