This 15 in. wide X 5.5 in. high wild black cherry NE was turned, sanded, and the first coat of lacquer sprayed in one afternoon. As always your comments and critiques are welcomed.

Glenn, I've been looking for an example of a very low to very high profile on an NE so I could see if it looks ok before I attack a piece of walnut that I got yesterday. And here you are....swooping in with the perfect example. Just breathtaking! I love the wood, but I especially like this form you've acheived. Thanks for the pics!!:)

Beautiful NE Glenn! That thing looks so thin that if Andy would put 2 scoops of French Vanilla in it.....it would probably close up like a Venus Flytrap!

Thanks all of you. This piece had a ring shake in the heart so I had to take our 5 inches. John, this one would have been a lot taller if not for the ring shake. I tried to save it because of all the figure in the wood. Thanks again.

Ok, so what is a "NE". I would like to add it to the "List Of Acronyms". And if you can think of any other that us "non-turners" might not know.
