I heard there was a contest starting up. Neighbor Pete Jordan offered to let me use his really SWEET lathe. I got my hunk of wood all glued up and ready to give it a "whirl". You boys gonna let this flat lander play?

Welcome Steve but remember you turn one thing and it is over. You will be lathe shopping before you know it.

Bernie, I've been lathe shopping for a couple of months now. Come close more than once. John Hart mentioned using my Chevelle as a lathe....wouldn't that be something, bet it would be called "Redneck lathe":)

No, it would be called the sweetest lathe on SMC, powered by a big block 396 chevy..... VARIABLE SPEED!!! From an old muscle car fan, it wouldn't get any better than that! My lathe is red, but doesn't have a SS stripe!

That glue-up is going to be a great goblet Steve! You're going to turn that on Pete's big mustard machine and decide you can't settle for anything less!;)

The Chevelle would be great, but I bet you would spend more on gas than a lathe would cost you....

Git-er-done!! :D
