After over a year waiting, I finally got the fisheye lens for my Olympus E1 camera. I've been playing with it today. I took a couple of shots of my workshop that I thought y'all might want to see.

It's a total (working) mess - nothing was tidied up for the shots, as you can see. I'm astounded and proud that it all fits in (just!). I won't bother naming all the machines (unless someone asks). Squeezed into my 325 sq.ft. (~18' x 18') garage are a full sized cabinet saw, workbench, router table, compound sliding miter saw, planer, jointer, vertical drill, bandsaw, drum sander, stationary belt sander, lathe, grinder, scroll saw, a bunch of hand and power tools, piles of turning and flatwork wood, and a dust collection system. See if you can spot 'em:

Clonk on these links to see the full sized pics:

I might try some panoramic photo stitching with a more normal lens and add those pics later.

Cheers,
Dave Fifield

Dave, nice effect. The smallest I go is the 18mm on my Canon. It was nice of you to buy this lens just to show us your shop :p Have fun with the new toy.

Hey, my garage is as cramped as that, and i don't have even half the equpment you have. But i also have two motorcycles in there taking up room. I'll have more room when I can sell one of the bikes though... more room for wood stuff. Just hope you never move!!

Dave, I think the rails on your Incra setup are a bit bent. Mine seem a lot straighter. ;)

Cool view of the shop, and from what I can see, it looks like you've done a good job of fitting 10 pounds of stuff in a 5 pound box.

Looks like the only machine that enjoys full time unencumbered access is the lathe. I approve!

Cool perspective of what that fish in the upper corner of your garage door see's all the time. I really like that walnut table. How about a fishes view of that when finished. Oh and its great to see that I'm not the only one with "all that" cramed into "jut this". Great shop.;)

Must be the lens.
