Another flat project

Just completed another flat project. A cutting board for french bread. It is made with oak, maple and mahogany and is 6" x 24".It will go to my niece for a house warming gift. Flat work is nice but I starting to feel withdrawal pains from lack of lathe time. Oh well, back to the spinny side.

My neighbor made something similar, only he drilled 1/2" holes on one side and made the handle longer, and calls it MR OUCH. It has helped the hearing of his kids. Amazing what wood can do.
