Anyone got any ideas of where I might pick one of these up new? Not Woodcraft. I have waited since Christmas and they just sent out an email telling me it aint due til the end of April :-(.
Not dogging Woodcraft but I cant wait that long....
I looked at Penn State grinder. Any input?
Cheers

Why do you want a two-speed grinder? Either speed will work just fine with HHS...

i have this Ryobi 8' (pretty new) so I guess I can just get a white wheel for that....

Rob, from what I have read, (Forest Addy,) a high speed, 3600 RPM, grinder will work just fine. The secret is keeping the wheel dressed with a diamond dressing tool. When the wheel loads up it acts more like a buffing wheel than a grinding wheel. A loaded grinding wheel is what burns your tools. I picked up a 2 carat dressing tool from MSC Industrial Supply for around 50-60 dollars.
