I went to John Heberts Website yesterday and spent a good hour viewing his log milling and camp construction project in Maine. What a fun hour. That is one of the most enjoyable webs I've seen lately. Thanks John and keep the SAGA in the wilderness going. I'll be watching! Mark http://www.cjohnhebert.com/
I also enjoyed Jim Beckers website! Good milling feature there. http://sawsndust.com/

Thanks for posting this Mark.. I have been really interested in John's recent postings in a couple of threads and never checked to see if he had a web site.

Great web site John! And, you do great work!

Wow, John Hebert. I haven't heard that name in a long time. John is certainly one talented woodworker and carpenter. In fact, I had conversed via email with John on a few things a number of years ago and found him to be quite generous with his time and advice and it was time well spent getting to dig around in his woodworking mind.

There are also other projects I've done for clients that I posted picks along the way that folks might be able to pick up some pointers on. Glad you enjoyed :)

If you spend any time at all on John's site you will quickly find out he knows woodworking.. His method for edge mitering boards (platform bed) works like a charm.....

I was having bad elbow pains from swing an estwing about ten years ago. I switched to the rig axe in the picture and the pain went away. Thank the lord because I thought I was headed for the surgeon.
I bought the rig axe from sears and its great for timber framing but stinks at pulling nails so you need to carry a cats paw. Every time I break a handle they just give me a new one.
