Am I right in thinking I can use the wheel balancer with the WC slowspeed grinder? I seem to remember reading that the wheels didn't have a 1" hole and I think the balancer requires that?

Maybe I won't even need it. Wonder if I'll be that lucky...

Not very likely on your luck part. Those that have used the LV grinding wheel balancer say that it makes a world of difference and it's amazing how smooth the wheel runs after balancing. Just remember to get an extra wheel kit.:D

Yes, you need a 1" hole and WC has 3/4". I bought a pair of LV wheels and used the balancer on them and it does make a workd of difference. I kept the WC wheels in a drawer just in case I need a backup or if I have to do a lot of reshaping.

Yes, you do need "standard" wheels for the OneWay balancing system. I've been using the Norton 3X wheels and they actually required very limited balancing, although that tweek really made them run wonderfully true and silently.
