Just picked up the 1442 tonight! I had to share with someone who could appreciate it. Love my wife to death but all she knew to say was, "It's very pretty". I suppose I could have trimmed it in lace or something. Anyway, here are some pics (since I don't have any turnings as yet, but soon to come). I did some mods with three shelves. still have some finishing to do. Let me know what you think.

Outstanding Chris,
Welcome to the dark side. The love of your life will begin to appreciate the new addition as soon as she sees a few bowls come off of that machine. Welcome to the dark side of WW

Great gloat, now the expenses begin. Turn the wife some bowls ASAP, like Don said, that will help when you start looking at Talon or Stronghold chucks, PM gouges, vacuum chucks, etc., etc.

Chris..........Congrats! I don't know if you've turned before but I'm finding it a blast! Of course, it eats a lot of monetary resourses too but it's incredibly fun! Lucky I quit smoking as my smoking money is paying for the never ending tool purchases! Enjoy! ......................

PS....don't take lace advice from a Photo Cop who prides himself on wearing a thong! :D

Ok Guys (includes any ladies out there in the Creek as well), I'm taking your advice and adding the "LACE" (new word in my vocab. for Chips & Dust:rolleyes: ). Now even I think it's qualified to be "PRETTY"! See for yourself.
