Had a order for a couple pencils and I had ran out---so my turning project for the day was making Artist Pencils I have to drop two off in the morning. The
woods are Red Mallee(thanks John) Ebony(Flat black) and last but not least is Cherry.
Hope you enjoy

I buy them from CSUSA. The kit is very easy to build. The only hard part is drilling that blank---it takes a 15/32 bit---so you drill real slow. I am waiting on my new drill press to arrive hoping it will make it less of a challenge. I have some antler that I am wanting to make pencils out of. That would put two of my best sellers together. I can't believe the Ebony did not blow up ---it really hates being drilled and turned this thin.

I saw the thread title and was expecting to see something thin, yellow with a red eraser on the end. Where's my coffee?

Good looking pencils Gary! I made about 40 pens at Christmas and
haven't wanted to make another since! Guess I got it out of my system,
but now seeing those I'll probably try my hand at it too.
