This is a quilt chest inspired by Ernie Conover's chest in the Treasure Chest book. It is made of soft maple and finished with Jeff Jewitt's antique maple recipe. The work was a combination of power and hand tool. All surfaces were hand planed. Joinery was cut with an old Powermatic 10 mortiser and tablesaw with tenon jig. Fitting was done by hand.

Very nice job, Ross! I envy you guys who can do suck great hand tool work! BUT, aren't you a bit jittery having that leaded glass lamp sitting on top of a "thumper"?! :D
