I bought the Hawk G4 scroll saw last year and although I don't use it that much I really like the unit, it has very little vibration and seems to be a very well built machine (don't even want to talk about CS though). I do however have problems with the blade holder, the holder is made in two pieces and is held together with a couple of small cap screws, I have had three different holders strip out the threads that accept the screws. I know the problem is probably over tightening the blade set screw but when using a 00 blade I find that the blade wants to slip out of the holder unless I really clamp down on it. I don't use pliers or anything just really get it snug by hand. Has anyone else had this problem?

This is what I'm working with:

Call Hawk and get the new designed blade holders.

I am not a scroller, but my wife is. She had the problem with the shiny two part blade holders getting hard to turn. She called and a couple of days later she had a box of new designed ones and she likes them.
