This may well be my first machinery gloat:D . In any case, my MM16 arrived and appears to be intact. The delivery went fine, although the pallet and crate didn't hold up very well. I think the truck driver was more scared than I was that it would wobble off the lift while lowering:eek: .
Anyway, obligatory pics are below. BTW, the mobility kit is not very mobile. I know it wasn't meant to be portable, but it sure is not easy rolling on my garage floor.
Now the fun begins.

Bob, congrats on the new MiniMax. I wasn’t too impressed with the crating on mine either but I have been impressed with the machine. You will be too. http://www.sawmillcreek.org/images/icons/icon14.gif
P.s. If you move the saw around much, ditch the infamous “Mobility Kit” and get it into a mobile base.

I'm with Bruce on the'mobility kit'. You need to get rid of the wheels if you want to install 1 inch or larger blades. Don't know why they don't fix these well-know and nagging problems.

I had a real fun time getting it into my 83 inch high rollup shop door. :)
Cleaned and polished Monday night. Tracked and tensioned a 1 inch Timberwolf blade last night. Lower wheel adjustment was a piece of cake.
The blade guides are really really nice IMHO. The saw runs like a dream.
I sliced up a piece of 7 inch cherry into 1/16 veneers then cut some 13 inch wide red oak. All I can say is, "WOW"! I'm liking my MM16 a LOT.

Hey Bob~
Haven't seen you around these parts in awhile. Now I know why - been too busy preparing for your Italian beauty. She looks like a keeper to me.;) Should you discover that she prefers a more rural environment..... Anyway....Congratulations!
In Peace, Todd

Those MM16's really really look good in a garage....;)
Mark, I suspect that the BS would require a lot less maintenance than Sophia, as well

This may well be my first machinery gloat:D ...
And a most gloatworthy piece of machinery it is. Congrats on the new toy. (Looks like congrats are in order for Chuck, too.)
If I stick to my plan, I'll get by with my 14" w/riser until I can afford one of the 20" or 24" cousins of the MM16. (I've never been really good at sticking to a plan though, so I might end up with the 16", which would still be a kick in the pants.)

I believe that the MM16 Mobilty Kit can be flipped/turned over
to increase the height......to make it roll a bit easier....

Yeah It's a Beauty,I waited to post until you finally got it. But I picked mine ( mm16 ) up in Austin last Saturday. We uncrated it and laid it on it's spine in the back of pickup for the trip to Dallas.Sam spent 21/2 hrs with me in his shop going over every detail about set up, I could not have been more pleased with the CS that I recieved. I did rewire a dedicated 30 amp breaker with 30 amp recepticle and plug and 10 gauge wire.No pics but you still lose to Texas LOL:D But enjoy.lets compare notes. Butch
