You'd be amazed to see how popular quilting is in most of the country, but especially the midwest. Quilt/fabric/sewing stores sell acrylic templates with screenprinted rules on them but only in certain sizes and
usually only 1/8" thick or less. I'm finding that people really like 1/4" templates (used to cut fabric with a rotary cutter) and custom sizes/shapes. The bad part is individuals that bring in a design on paper that you have to scan, convert to vector for just one or two, and you have to charge accordingly so they balk at the price. But, if you talk to
the people at the stores about selling wholesale, they may be able to
provide files, or be willing to pay for the setup to sell them in quantity. This morning a customer e-mailed me .ai files with their logo and the rules in black, and hairlines for the vector cuts, all ready to go, a really nice order, for their online store and a show next month.
