Hello,

Would anyone know where to download any digital patterns for direct import into Corel.

Cheers

A lot of people use www.berrybasket.com/ They are not free, but do offer a free one every month and the prices are reasonable.

Hi Joe,

Thanks for that, so what is the best and most efficient way to import or get these into Corel.

Cheers

The ones I've seen were pdfs. In Corel 12 it's one of the import file types,
so it's quick and easy. You do have to delete or move all of the text (instructions) or other graphics that come with it, and then make sure you have the shapes to be cut as hairlines before sending to the laser. If you were going to actually use a scroll saw you'd have to print it to size on paper.

What is the most widely used material (by laser owners) for the BerryBasket type patterns? Also any recommended sources?

Myself, I use the 1/8" or 1/4" birch plywood. I have found a source on an auction site and it is the best birch plywood I have purchased. Very minimal warpage and vectors/engraves perfect on a 45w machine.

Not sure if it is allowed to post the souce info here or not.

Well, I had a lot of requests for the site info and from other postings on the creek I don't see why it would be a problem if this one is posted to the public. I bought my birch from a company called CCB Woodworks at one of their many auctions listed on Ebay.

This one in particular: Auction #8254049625

Here are some settings that work great for me on various thickness:

.120 birch plywood
pwr: 100, sp: 3.8, ppi: 30

.153 birch plywood
pwr: 100, sp: 2.7, ppi: 30

.205 birch plywood
pwr: 100, sp: 2.5, ppi: 30

The other day I had a #1 pine board planed down to .460 and here are the
settings for that:

pwr: 100, sp: .8, ppi: 30

All these settings produce no burning, just a nice brown edge. Most of my
finishinsed products are lightly stained so the dark edge gives a nice
contrast.
