shop doors

I'm almost done building these two shop doors, nearly 6.5' wide each. The panels are nearly 32" wide and 4' tall. I'm thinking of making the panels out of of 1/4" aluminum sheet. Anybody see any problem with this?

1) Assumming that the California winters are a bit milder than ours, heat loss shouldn't be an issue.
2) Aluminum does oxidize, will it be coated.
3) If the aluminum will be contacting steel, you might have a galvanic corrosion problem. I don't remember the table off the top of my head.
