What glue to use to veneer 1/16" walnut to drawer front.

The substrate is solid Walnut. Would Tightbond (PVA) glue work or is there another kind of glue I should use?

I just completed a table which used very thin walnut veneer on a plywood substrate. I used Weldwood Plastic Resin Glue with good success.

Titebond will work. Personally, I'd use hot hide glue. Either way, you'll need to clamp/press the veneer to the substrate to keep it from curling, and to ensure good adhesion. Several hours of clamping should be adequate, but overnight would be better.

I just glued some walnut veneer to solid walnut, then raised a panel. Everyone in the fine woodworking club was amazed that the edge didn't show, and that there was no chip out. Used urea formaldehyde (the resin glue powder you mix with water). My second choice would be hot hide glue, third choice PVA.
