Well, there not wood, they are turned on the lathe and what the mini market is looking for.

Seems this is what the folks that collect miniatures want. So some photos of turnings I have been selling on the auction block.

At times the wood will sell quite well and then there's the Corian, some items move quite well, like the Mortar & Pestle stuff or a Pedestal, but none of it as well as the Acrylic.

Fun things to turn and they don't take up much room.

Thanks for taken a peek,

Bill.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>:)

Your workmanship is great --- heck I get a kick out of just looking at this stuff. Love the--- don't take up much room part. It's kinda one of the big reasons I like turning --- you do not have to get help to move the finished product.

A most impressive body of work, Bill. A "mini" body but still impressive. ;) I understand how you hollow and turn these little gems but how do you mount them? Are they glued to a waste block or just chucked up?

Hi Mike,
This is the way I turn most of them, this is one just before parting off.
Cut a 5" pen blank in half, chuck it up and get 2 mines from each pc.
Just thought I would show it stright up also.

Bill, they are all terrific as usual. Out of this group #1 is my favorite closely followed by 2, 3, 4 and/or 5:) . Great work.

Bill,
Really love your "minis". How about some info on the tools you use or better yet, a couple of pics since I don't believe my 3/8" spindle gouge would work.

Bill, I spent a couple hours on the auction site yesterday, comparing your work to your "competition". Yours really stand out above the rest. Interesting to analyze what people buy and what attracts the most attention.
