I'm not too sure if this is the proper place to post PICS, I'm sure someone will correct me if it's not.
It's finished with 3 coats of Flecto Varathane, Diamond Wood Finish Waterborne. 5 coats on the top.

That honey locust grain is really eye-catching. I'll bet that chest is just going to get better and better looking as the color mellows with age. Nice job.

I would also like to add my compliments to a very nice looking project. Is this off of a plan or your own design? If it is from a plan, where did you find it? I am looking for a plan for a hopechest for my daughter. Thanks.

Gorgeous, Mack. I really like the look of the locust. My sawyer has it for sale. And is always suggesting I try it. After seeing your chest I'll look for a project for it. BTW you need to download a program called Pixresizer to post pictures up here. It's free just look it up on Google or any search engine.

Hi Russ; I used Photobucket (free) to post these Pics, I also use ImageShack (free) at times. I'm not fully conversant with the computer and am not aware why I should use Pixresizer. I do resize my images to small, but I see I neglected to do it with one of the Pics.
Would you mind explaining why I should use Pixresizer? Thanks for your time.

Really nice, beautiful chest.
Also nice to know the Locust looks so good, a close friend has some Locust logs that we are getting ready to get sawn.

Mack,
Awesome looking chest. Is if for your own home or for a gift/customer? I also use PhotoBucket, and find it's resizing feature usually works fine for posting to the web.

It was a birthday present for my daughter to use as a Toybox for 2 grandchildren that live with them. Thanks for your kind comment!
I thought possibly I wasn't to use Photobucket for some reason.
