Mark started working on some cabinets (flat work) in his shop and since then I haven't been able to get on the lathe because Mickey thought it would be nice if I made some cabinet doors for her.:(

We have a cabinet in the kitchen that most of the space you can't reach next to the sink. We have talked about me building some doors to put on the other side of the cabinet to give her access to the unused space.

So here is what I came up with, she is happy and so maybe now I can get back to the lathe.

Also while I was doing some flat work, I made a shelf and backboard to hang the big platter I made for her on valentines day.

Both projects came out pretty good.

Thanks for looking.

Nice work on the doors Dick. The platter is beautiful, too. Here in earthquake country we'd never think of having something like that above the bed unless it was nailed to the wall (bonk!), but in your part of the country that's not a real big concern. ;)

Those look great Dick. You must be feeling pretty frisky these days, about time for us to play some golf... It sure is warm enough today!

Hey, don't blame me! My cabinets were given to me. All I had to do was screw'em to the wall!!! :D

Nice work Dick!

Dick, the shelf/stand for the platter looks wonderful over that bed! Great decorative combination. And the doors were a great idea to make that cabinet more accessible.

At first I was going to call you a good for nothin traitor...then I looked again and saw what nice work you did...AND you incorporated a spinny thing in your dacor. Well done...but now you have to get back to that DVR and do two bowls and a bonker as penance.
