I finished my first effort at making a box this weekend. It is a combination of S32873
32874palted Maple and Bocote. The finish is Deft. Dick B.

Nice box. Is that spalted, or curly maple? I love the grain pop regardless.
Oh, and since no one else has asked, I will. What are the two spindles on the side for?

They are for hanging your revolver before the first card is delt.
Nice job. That grain is something else.

Marty, Those are ring parks. The box was for my daughters' birthday and she has a number of rings.
The maple is spalted and there is some quilted maple also. Dick B.
