Well my G0490 arrived today via Overnight. The first thing we did when we got the base down was inspect the box. I big chunk of cardboard was flooping around... egads... well we opened it up and could see the damage. One side (panel) was bowed but no biggie as I am sure a little rubber hammer action will take care of that (or a new panel from Grizzly) the other side (one with the above mentioned chunk) didn't get so lucky. You can see that it got hit by a fork lift or one of those truck thingies. Anyways, the other box and it's contents are fine. I called Grizzly and have a trouble ticket in, I've already received a courtesy call from shipping. I see no other damge to the inside framing just the doors, but will do some more investigation but I think it will just require new from and rear panels. I'll post pics tonight or this weekend. BTW, that is one heavy piece of machinery.

It's a Two man job getting the bed up on the base. ;) Congrats Scott.

Congrats Scott. Be sure and get help with that brute. You don't want to be laid up and not be able to use that new iron.

Thanks, I have some beef to help me. My brother lives 3 miles away and his boy is a wresler, we should be golden. He is at state this weekend, so I'll probably move down into the shop (basement and get setup on Sunday). We wheeled the heavy box up on a furniture dolly. The base was lite enough we just carried it up. The third package was a bear :p it was the catalog, I almost pulled a left one with it. :D

I don't think mine is or isn't now, when I opened up the crate and did a test left of the bed it lifted up fine. I did not get a chance to really do anything on it last night, so this weekend I'll begin moving parts to the basement.

Chris, it's big but not as big as that nimitz class aircraft carrier you have. I am yes I am confident that Grizzly will get me taking care of. Then again, you have seen my shop, it will lokk huge down there.
