View Full Version : New lathe has arrived

The mustard monster has finally made an apperance. Should have arrived last thursday but such are the fortunes of life. Got it all assembled and placed where I wanted it in about 2 hours. Did I say that it is one heavy monster. The trucking company sent it on a lift gate truck but the lift gate failed to work. Opened the box in the truck and carried every piece in the shop one at a time. My neighbor and I are going to very sore tomorrow. Yes it is heavy.

Found that the face plate threads were bad and when the factory assembled it they messed up the spindle threads. WMH Tool Group has very good customer service. New parts are already on the way. I can practice spindle turning while I wait. Fun and games.

Cheers
Gordon

Great wafer board! ?

Andy you beat me to it. If it hadn't been for the "wafer board" I'd have posted something about the clean shop or the wood floor;)

Nice looking lathe Gordon. You could always paint it GREY. Very nice looking shop and set up.
