Another lidded box. Finally this lid has the "pop" that I've heard about. Hope that's a good thing. It's a spalted maple glue up. 1 3/4 x 3 5/8. I was able to finish to the bottom (2 1/8 deep) on this one with a new tool I bought at the Charlotte Wood Show. It's called an Irish Grind Bowl Gouge 3/8". Is that the same grind as the Ellsworth? Anyway, have a great night.

Hey Chris, nice box you got there! That's some neat wood.

I think you are right about Irish Grind = Elsworth...

Nicely done Chris! I like everything about it. I wish I could get that "Pop". Practice practice practice I guess. :o

That is a good looking box Chris. Yep a small pop is good. Both of the ones I made have a soft pop to them. Great job.

I bet my wife and daughters would like a few of them :D

......so......what is this "pop" you are talking about, is it the sound the lid makes when you remove it (showing a nice tight fit??).

Yep, that's the "pop" I'm talking about. Even my wife likes that "pop". Have a great day Stu. By the way, sure enjoy your posts.
