View Full Version : Have you ever asked a question of someone and get that "DUH!" look?

I was at a local medical center working today and I asked a former x-ray tech and now Pacs administrator......."Do you turn wood?"........I got this look that said "DUH!". He proceeded to go to the nearest computer and take me to his web page. He's an artist..........check out his art .........his name is Will Simpson and here's the link to his website. I hope this doesn't violate any TOS. I'd never do that purposely! http://www.kestrelcreek.com/

He also teaches classes. I was stunned!

Ken you hit the jackpot, that man is an artist. You never know, it's a small woodturning world getting bigger all the time. GT

Lot of well known names at Kestrel Creek. A hugely talented bunch. And you have an "in" with 'em. Cool!

So, what did he say when you pulled out the Salmon Bonker? You do carry it with you, don't you?:D

No....I didn't show him any photos or the real thing. I did mention to him that he was more of an artist than I. I did tell him I turned a mean salmon bonker, however!

Ken,

Just curious, what possessed you to ask the PACS administrator if he turned?

Well golly gee Ken. You running with the in crowd already. Get yourself one of them long cig holders and wave it around in the shop. (you could use you salmon bonker and put a big ole cigar in it) Stand on the diving board and preach about the working class:) Difference between an artist and newbie is an outlet for his/her art.

It is beautiful stuff, I should wish to be half that good.
