I am looking for recommendations on some woodworking classes, specifically- cabinet making.
Something that is maybe a weeklong, 3/4 day etc. One that encompasses both hand and machine tools.
Thanks

Here's one:

or David Marks:

I remember reading about a private one week class that some one won and attended but don't remember where.
I plan on offering classes this summer at my shop in Joseph, OR. I will have more details on my web site when I get it up, or PM me for more details.

There is also a mentor program here at SMC... Take a look at the list and there may be someone near you that could show you what you are looking for.

I believe there is at least one school right there in Texas, can't remember the name, but it was very highly regarded. Hopefully someone will come along who will know of it.

Dave:
I would like to invite you to please take a look at my school, the American Sycamore Retreat. www.americansycamoreretreat.com (http://www.americansycamoreretreat.com)
We have a number of furniture and cabiner making classes. I highly recomend Glen Huey or Dale Barnard as instructors. We have a large shop full of equipment and a nice B & B here on the property for you to stay. If you have any questions or concerns I would be glad to help in any way.

Dave,
Check out:
www.marcadams.com
or
www.kellymehler.com
Both are excellent schools.
If you mean kitchen type or built in cabinetry, Kelly has a week long class specific to that.
If you mean furniture type cabinetry, check Marc's site, or also go to
www.chbecksvoort.com
and look at his teaching page. He is teaching a wall cabinet class in Atlanta.
Be sure to post an after class report for all the lurkers!

Don't forget Alan Turner's school, though it's not officially up and running yet.
