Gary Max, you can have the rest of all the aromatic cedar. It's 6.5" x 14.75" and came from a "Rita" tree in my mother-n-law's yard. This bowl is her's. Out of a 2.5' x 6' log, this is the only part that would make a bowl this size. Big cracks every where.
It's sort of squatty because on my last roughout cut, the whole tennon tore off up into the bottom. I chiseled it smooth and put a glue block on it when it dried.

Ernie ---heck I like the bowl---- Yah I know it's a real bear to turn but just think---Who else has one like that????????
I build a bunch of stuff out of cedar and very little of it gets to the lathe.
It can be to much fun to turn sometimes.

That's another nice bowl Ernie, tend to agree on the Cedar stuff, cause it doesn't like me. I will cast my vote on the Walnut bowl.

Another beauty Ernie. Did you save the shavings for the hampster?

I'm sure there are a few critters in them by now, but NO HAMPSTERS. They are out as part of the cover on some elm that I am trying to spalt.

Thanks everyone.
