I've followed at times discussions of battery impact drivers. I have a Milwaukee 3/8" 14 volt impact wrench which works but. You folks know the situation I watched some deck installers and they had a AC driver that looked like aMayflower edition. My question is does anyone make a AC impact driver. I've seen the new Makita at 18volts and new type battery for $319. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Harry

Harry,
I have an Older Milwakee inpact driver that is 110V. It has a half " chuck. It's kinda big and heavy which is a good thing since if you are not careful it will try to twist you around. DAMHKIT...
Its actualy a hammer drill. Like this one.

When I worked as a telephone lineman, we had Milwaukee impact drivers that we used to drill holes in poles and tighten 5/8" & 3/4" bolts. It had a hex check, that was about 3/8". They were some powerful. Probably near 200 ft/lbs of torque.
