Looking for some information on shiming the outfeed table of this jointer.

Best as I can tell the outfeed sags about .020, maybe more from cutter head to end. It is flat just sagging.

On side of the way has a gib, the other appears solid. I was thinking that shimming one side was a bad idea and shimming both would skew the table.

Just looking for advice before I loosen up the gibs and stick in some shims.

Thanks in advance

Joe

Joe,

There is a good video called "Tuning-up a Jointer" with John White. It says on the case "A Fine Woodworking WOODSHOP VIDEO". I do not remember where I bought mine but you could do a quick search and find it I think. It was well worth the small cost to me.

P.S. I found it. I bought mine from Woodcraft but I did a quick Google search and it is available from several sources.
